Home: I'm from Long Island, NY and moved to UT (my current residence) about 2 years ago.

Siblings: I have 2 older sisters. We're currently 21,22, and 23. I'm the youngest

Children: I'm expecting! My due date is 10.22.09

Occupation: I dabble in graphic design and want to go back to school to learn more web design (right now I only am really good with CSS Javascript gives me a headache).
I get paid to be a substitute teacher but am looking for a new job.

Favorite part of my job: The flexible schedule and the fact that each day has a new dynamic.

Hey! Here is a little about me.

I am 29 and currently hoping to adopt! (if you know anyone considering adoption, feel free to pass along our information) My husband and I have been married for a little over 5 years. We got pregnant with our first about 6 months after we got married. When I was about 19 weeks along, we went in for our ultra sound to find out the sex of the baby. We found out we were having a girl... and also that I was dilated to a 2. We rushed up and got in with a specialist. They basically told us that it was just a waiting game and that she would be born within the coming weeks without a chance of survival. She was born two days later on Oct 23, 2004. She was beautiful and perfect, but not ready to stay here on earth.

We spend two years trying to conceive. I hated it. I hate charting, I hate taking temps and planning my life around it. One day we threw in the towel and decided that adoption was the best road for us. (With an incompetent cervix, it's a little too risky to try to get pregnant on fertility drugs with chance of multiples.) It was the best decision we have ever made. We started the adoption process in Sept 06 and were approved Oct 06. We have been waiting/finding ever since.

Welcome to the site Kam!! Sounds like you guys have been through a lot I had no idea finding a good candidate for adoption could take so long. You've been looking for almost three years now, is that right? Best of luck to you! And keep us all posted.

Yep, it has been almost 3 years since we have been approved. We have been involved in multiple situations and had a few failed adoptions. It's been a long road, but I hope I have some information that may help someone else.

We are also hoping to get the word out that we are adopting so that hopefully our information will fall into the right hands and help us find the situation that is right for our family. It's a long frustrating process, but I learn something new everyday.
